I have worked for Ezi Car Rental since early 2016 day. During that time I have progressed from the grooming bay (keeping cars clean) to working at Head Office performing revenue management and system and process upgrade roles. I have also participated in reviews of marketing service and online advertising providers to seek ways to better apply these functions.

Ezi is a great place to work. They are growing fast and are a great kiwi competitor against the international brands.  Please support them if you have the opportunity

System & Process Upgrades

Ezi Car Rental uses software systems to manage customer reservations, fleet management and online service capability.  I have managed the upgrading and implementation of new capability to meet changing business requirements.

Revenue Management

Revenue management requires constant adjustment of prices to ensure that fleet yield is maximised by location while ensuring that prices are competitive. Ezi Car Rental uses software to model future revenue based on historic patterns and competitor actions. Managing these models requires constant attention to competitor prices, overall industry capacity, and fleet disposition.

Things i got done

  • off fleeting process improvements
  • new car arrivals process
  • enforced discipline

Fleet administration

Auckland airport branch maintains a large fleet which consists of owned and leased vehicles. The management of this fleet to ensure that capacity (time and distance) lease terms are not exceeded, damaged cars are repaired, vehicles are serviced and maintained is not a complex task. It does require attention to detail, discipline to ensure records are kept up to date, and forward thinking.

Things i got done

  • cleaned cars
  • led by example
  • managed relationships

Vehicle Grooming

Keeping a bunch of cars clean. How hard can it be? That depends. The difficult part is ensuring that the cars get cleaned in the right order to meet reservation requirements, and the people involved continue to perform a repetitive physical task consistently and conscientiously.
